Until 30 June 2021, ‘British Citizen’ passport holders traveling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) without a visa. If you have a different type of British nationality – for example ‘British national (overseas)’ you’ll need to get a visa before entering Vietnam.
For a visit more than 15 days, you must get a valid visa for your trip. There are 3 different methods to apply visa.

- Obtain visa at Vietnamess embassy / consulate oversea
- Apply visa on arrival online, get visa stamp upon arrival at airport

With e-visa, it is an electronic visa granted for entry 01 time, 30 days stay. This type of visa is limited to certain entry/exit points which you must select at the time of application. If you change your entry/exit point once the visa is issued, you may be refused to enter the country.

Visa on arrival

Passport requirements
Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months on the date you enter Vietnam.
Your passport must have at least 1 blank page for visa stamp / entry stamp.
