Vietnam Airlines limits the number of passengers per flight to Ho Chi Minh City
To comply with with the requirements of the Civil Aviation Authority of Viet Nam, from 6-15th April, 2020, to ensure that the number of passengers arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport is within the Covid-19 testing capacity of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Airlines will limit the number of passengers on flights to Ho Chi Minh City to no more than 180 passengers per one Boeing 787 or Airbus A350 aircraft, and no more than 120 passengers on Airbus A321 aircraft.
Currently, all passengers on flights to Tan Son Nhat domestic terminal are required to get tested for Covid-19. If the number of passengers coming to Ho Chi Minh City from Tan Son Nhat Airport increases, the authorities may require passengers to undergo concentrated quarantine before taking samples for testing.
Vietnam Airlines adjusting flight frequency to/from Da Nang city
Due to Da Nang city’s new quarantine measures, travel demands between Da Nang and Ha Noi / Ho Chi Minh city would be affected. Nevertheless, to maintain connectivity and to serve essential travel needs during the pandemic, from 7th to 15th April, Vietnam Airlines will adjust flight frequency on the routes between the three cities as follow:
– On routes between Ha Noi – Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh city – Da Nang: Vietnam Airlines will operate 03 rountrip flights per week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
– On routes between Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh city: Vietnam Airlines will serve 01 roundtrip flight per day.
– Other domestic routes will continue to be temporarily suspended until further notice.
