Vietnam visa can be applied for at the Embassy by Online, Email, by Mail or in Person. The Embassy of Vietnam in Canada is located at 55 Mackay street, Ottawa, Ontario, K1M2B2. Visa can be applied up to 1 year prior to the date of entry into Vietnam.

The visa issued by the Vietnam Embassy is valid for all borders in Vietnam (by land, by air or by sea). No additional procedures or fees would be required upon arrival. There is no visa requirement if you are just transiting through a Vietnamese international airport without entering the country.

The processing time is three (03) business days since the receipt of a complete application. Travelers can also request to shorten the processing time to one (01) business days after the receipt of a complete application (additional processing fee required).

Vietnam e-visa for Canadian passport

Holders of a valid Canadian passport are eligible to apply online for a single-entry electronic tourist visa (e-visa), valid for a maximum of 30 days. Some restrictions apply.

Those who have an e-visa can only enter Vietnam via the port of entry indicated in their visa approval notice.

Vietnam Visa on arrival for Canadian

Canadian passport to Vietnam can pick up visa at Vietnam international airports.

Before applying for Vietnam visa, please make sure that your passport has at least 6 month validity counting from date of arrival and blank pages left for new stamp. Visa on arrival option is ONLY applicable for TRAVELING BY AIR to Vietnam.

Procedures for Visa on arrival:

1. Send the request to a third-party service as Vietnam Visa Box
2. Pay the service fee for getting Vietnam visa approval letter.
3. Receive Vietnam visa approval letter via email within normally 2 working days (Tourist visa), or 4 – 7 working days (Business visa) since the full receipt of payment and fee, you will received Vietnam visa approval letter via email address.
4. Print it out and bring it along with visa stamping fee, 1 photo, original passport to get visa stamp upon arrival airport in Vietnam.
